Choosing your POS system is crucial, as it represents the trusted partner who will manage a large part of your sales. Today, we compare our Easytransac solution with SumUp, two solutions with many similarities, but also some notable differences.

Payment terminals and virtual terminals

Easytransac is distinguished by a diversified offering that includes some of the best traditional payment terminals on the market, as well as virtual POS terminals. The Easytransac app, available for Android and Apple, transforms any smartphone into a payment terminal without additional purchase costs, representing significant savings, especially for companies with many employees or an extensive network.

Service and Customer Support Locations

A notable advantage of Easytransac is the location of its hosting services in France, unlike SumUp, which hosts its data abroad. Easytransac's technical and sales support is based in Strasbourg, offering responsive, personalized service thanks to dedicated Partner Managers.

Payment Options

SumUp lags slightly behind when it comes to flexible payment options such as split payments or subscriptions, which could be a significant commercial handicap, limiting sales for merchants.

Transaction and billing fees

Easytransac charges a commission of 1.20% + €0.15 within the euro zone, with no distinction between payment types. SumUp, however, adapts its fees according to country and type of payment, with charges of up to 2.5% for remote payments.

Employee and network profile management

Easytransac offers advanced profile management, enabling franchises and networks to create sub-accounts and configure their own commission system. SumUp offers basic employee management, but doesn't go as far in terms of customization and control for larger structures.

Conclusion

In summary, although SumUp and Easytransac offer similar solutions on the surface, the details reveal significant differences in terms of flexibility, local support, and transaction and account management. Easytransac appears to offer a more robust and adaptable solution, particularly favourable for larger companies and networks.
