For 25 years, the Rallye Roses des Sables has been bringing the Moroccan desert to life. More than just a race, it's a human adventure of solidarity, entirely dedicated to women. For ten days, participants discover how to surpass themselves, how to help each other, and the power of teamwork, in a setting that is both demanding and magical.
Every year, several hundred women from all over the world set off: 222 participants divided into 113 crews, aboard 4x4s, SSVs, motorcycles or quads. Alongside them, a mobile and agile organization keeps pace with the sand: technical teams, volunteers, medical staff and solidarity partners.
The godmother and godfather of the event are : Isabelle Ithurburu, French journalist and presenter, and Sébastien Loeb, renowned professional rally driver.
Highlights of the 2025 edition
Highlights include:
- Solidarity Day (18/10), with the collection of donations for Enfants du Désert and the famous Pink Ribbon photo in the dunes.
- The Night Stage (10/19), a night-time special where vehicles are decked out in a thousand lights.
- The Dunes special stage (10/20), a sporting challenge in the vastness of the Moroccan desert.
- The Marathon stage (23-24/10), two days of total autonomy under the stars.
- And finally, the arrival at Sidi Ali lake, a spectacular setting that brings the adventure to a close.
Outstanding logistics
Organizing a desert rally is a constant challenge. What sets it apart is the balance between complexity and agility:
- A mobile organization, with different bivouacs and living quarters in extraordinary locations (Merzouga desert, marathon stage with free bivouac, Sidi Ali lake...).
- A hybrid human system: permanent team, volunteers, local service providers, medical, sports and technical staff, all on the move, all coordinated in an environment with no conventional network.
- An intense rhythm, between sporting events, moments of solidarity, management of mechanical and medical contingencies, and camp life.
- Solidarity logistics too: with several partner associations, donations and field actions to be organized alongside the rally.
- And above all: a 100% women's event, with a strong human commitment, where listening, adaptability and emotional management are as important as pure logistics.
The Roses des Sables is an adventure rally, yes. But it's also a micro-society in motion, which has to function every day, whatever the cost, in an extreme setting. It's this alchemy between precision and humanity that makes it so singular.
It's a subtle balance between precision, flexibility and solidarity, with a strong commitment to four associations: Ruban Rose, Enfants du Désert, L'Estelada and Le Club des Petits Déjeuners.
